Prep roundup: Davis softball falls, Ogden soccer plays to draw with Alta

PREP SOFTBALL

BINGHAM 6, DAVIS 5

SOUTH JORDAN — Davis (0-1) fell in a close road game at Bingham to open the season.

Lexi Sunderland had a single, a double and two RBIs; Whitney Crowley also had a single and a double with one RBI.

Bingham scored four runs in the fourth inning and Davis scored in the sixth and seventh innings to bring the score to 6-5. The Darts had a bases-loaded situation in the seventh inning, but couldn’t convert.

SYRACUSE vs. COPPER HILLS (PPD)

Syracuse and Copper Hills’ softball game was postponed due to bad field conditions. The game has been rescheduled for April 18th at 3:30 p.m. at Copper Hills High, Titans head coach Kelly Anderson said.

BOYS SOCCER

OGDEN 0, ALTA 0 

OGDEN — Ogden and Alta opened their seasons with a 0-0 draw Tuesday afternoon at the Spence Eccles Ogden Community Sports Complex. The Tigers play at Granger at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

POSTPONED

Syracuse vs. Viewmont: Rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Syracuse.

Bonneville vs. Bountiful: Rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bonneville.

Davis vs. Murray: Rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Murray.

PREP BASEBALL

Roy vs. Morgan: Cancelled with no makeup date yet scheduled.

Viewmont vs. Stansbury: Rescheduled to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Viewmont.

Layton Christian vs. Delta: Doubleheader rescheduled to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Delta.
